I think he would have, because home is where the heart is, and his heart is with Jordan.īut, that doesn't mean we need to see them jump back into a relationship right away either. She needs to do what's best for her, even if it means disappointing people she loves. While Drew and Paul are certain to come back, Shannon's status is up in the air. Jordan's compromise to let her return to the reservation for a few weeks is a nice gesture. Sure she can adapt, but that doesn't mean she has to. There's nothing wrong with that despite Paul and Jordan trying to convince her she can adapt. Who can blame her? The hospital has gone through immense changes, and she's not sure it's the right fit for her. Shannon: No, this is about this place becoming a war zone. ![]() While Paul has embraced the hospital's shift to combat training, Shannon runs in the opposite direction. While he's sure to grow from the experience, it would be sad if he loses that. Paul has always had a certain innocence about him. It'll be more interesting to see how the experience changes him, and how it affects the way he lives his life and does his job when he gets home. I'm not saying he can't hack it, but there's going to be an adjustment period, and some of that could be pretty entertaining to see. It seems likely that if the show comes back, it'll pick up with everyone back home from their various excursions, but we'll need some flashbacks of Paul in Syria. Paul embarks on his own journey of self-discovery after it occurs to him that he's surrounded by men and women who have served, and the best he can come up with is holding his own during the riot downtown.
